On February 4, 2023, the United Front Work Department of the Shantou Municipal Party Committee, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Bureau of Shantou Municipality, and the Shantou Overseas Friendship Association jointly held the “New Year's group reunion for Shantou and Hong Kong compatriots” in a combination of online and offline methods.
